The selected trim SS [RS] Convertible [W/O A/C] (L48 V8, M20 M4, 3.07) [Wide-ratio] [Optional Economy axle] had a Dual exhaust & resonators w/ single muffler exhaust system. It was powered by a L48 5.7-liter V8 350ci. 4-bbl engine connected to a M20 4-spd Manual Wide-Ratio transmission driving a 3.07 rear end.

Independent SLA type w/ coil Springs and concentric shock absorber and spherically-joined steering knuckle ending with a Salisbury Axle w/ 2 single leaf springs (Monoleaf) w/ torque rod rear suspension.
