The standard transmission for the 67 Camaro would have been a 3-speed on the column. Does the car still have the stearing coulmn in it? With a bench seat, the auto would have been on the column also. The console would have been called out on the cowl tag. It would have said 2LG. You just have 2L so your car does not have a console.

Don't know if it matters to you or not, but your car did not come with a center console. Would it be possible for you to send me the vin# to your car for CRG's data base? CRG has the best site for decoding first gen cars. http://www.camaros.org
