http://www.familycar.com/RoadTests/Chrysler300M/Images/Shifter.jpg I don't even see a 3/2/1 option in this car.. could it be? The car manufacturer wants the owner of this car to drive in OD? Oh my god! They're so gonna owe him a new transmission under warranty! What were they thinking! ATTN: Chrysl...

I know car guys that own shops that think you can pull off cylinder heads without unbolting the intake manifold, I know a mechanic that owns his own shop that thinks you can put a screw in the secondary lever on a vacuum secondary holley carb to turn it into a mechanical carb totally ignoring the fa...

lol sorry I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings, but the amount of people I talk to that are convinced they are right when they're not is just insane, I rarely talk to "car people" anymore for that exact reason - when I was studying for my ASE I read a question on turbos to this kid that thought he...

Thanks for clearing that up. now that we have this whole mess cleared up too, we can all get on with our lives and enjoy 30% better fuel economy in our performance cars thanks to the har...

OK fine, if he does have a magical V8 thirdgen capable of 21mpg then he should hold onto it, its probably worth alotta money, and I apologize for my assumption, but if I'm right, and, well the odds are in my favor, then I get to point and laugh :) So Error404 - rumor has it you know a guy I know, go...

OK I got annoyed reading thru the posts and the stupidity so I'm just gonna tell you how it is and not get into any arguments about what some of the idiots here are saying. Man I started feeling like I was reading what the guy at my local Aamco tried to tell me before I laughed in his face n told hi...

Have you seen the age of professional drag racers? They're well past 40 - one of my friends is 36 and he is more childish behind the wheel than most 18 year olds that i meet - age has nothing to do with it, I can't stand people that go around saying "i'm too old" or "im getting old" blablabla quit w...

This is the stupidest discussion i've seen in a while. I'd take a 4-cylinder stick shift Camaro over any automatic (well, maybe). Buy a VW then! I wouldnt even take a 305 just because it has stick - I've driven every kinda third gen motor out there, and I get bored waiting to get to 60mph when the V...

http://www.BanksPower.com talk to them they make a twin turbo kit for SBC - I'm buidling a single turbo kit right now with a T70, when I'm tired of 700hp + nitrous, I'll run a T88 n step it up to 1000hp. Superchargers are easier n cheaper and will offer you more power with no lag.

I'm building a Turbo 383 - but this is a project that should only be undertaken by those with fabrication skills, if you can't cut & weld & bend metal then your only options are the BBS Designs kit or the Banks Turbo kit (bankspower.com i believe) - but as a reference - my headers that I am ...

The E Brake is primarily for manual cars because they do not have a "park" feature - I've only ever met 1 person that puts automatics on E-Brake when he parks the car and thats just because he's always driven manual cars so he does it automatically. 3rd Gen E Brakes usually suck really bad anyway. I...

Find someone with a welder, weld a regular nut to the locking nut and remove it like that - easiest way to do it but you'll need to find someone with a welder - you can get replacement keys but they cost stupid amounts, welding a regular nut to the lug nut works perfectly. Just make sure you cover u...

I've heard em on 4th gen V6's they don't sound bad, dunno about 3rd gens, but I've never been a big fan of loud exhuasts on anything less than a v8.

A) I'd start with a V8 car, V6 to V8 is a waste of time and money to me. B) LS1's will go into 3rd gen's, theres plenty of people that have done it - it requires some modification to the front K-Member, I believe this can be avoided if you don't want a/c. C) For the money just buy a 98-02 F-Body, yo...

5.7 is always better than 5.0 - hands down, no questions asked. Anything you do to a 305 will work better on a 350. "Theres no replacement for displacement" etc etc... if you want a manual car then get the 305 and put a 350 in it (easier than getting a 350 with auto and putting stick in it).

Buy a new car and start out with a V8 with a 350 - swapping V6 to V8 is a pain in the butt because theres also suspension considerations to take into account, its not just a pull out drop in and go situation. If you're on a budget then don't bother with a 383, yes they are cool, yes I have one, yes ...
