It makes me crazy... And, I know it makes everyone else crazy, too. Being caught in slow traffic seems t...

Update... What I've discovered, so far. The fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit sold by AC/Delco is a a unit that *fits* several models of cars. Thus, it doesn't send the correct resistance reading to the gauge. The "technician" at the local dealer says, he ran into this problem, and *his fi...

1996 3.8L convertible. I've got two different sources for the sending unit reading, and they give different numbers. One source says the reading at full tank should be 88 ohms and drop off to 1 ohm at empty. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html Another source says the readings at full tank should b...

Had the same problem on mine... Replaced the starter... Still got the click-click, intermittently.

Problem traced to ground cable... Replaced cable... Problem solved.

I've done a little searching the innertubes this morning, for an OEM replacement - Schucks & Napa...Both suppliers seem to be indicating that their radiators have "plastic" tanks w/aluminum cores?...Is that standard? Yep that is standard even with the LS-1's that is why we usually swi...

Well looks like I'm a victim of the Dex-cool curse. My '97 with 70,000 miles is going on it's 3rd water pump, the funky brown goo has clogged everything again. I've had enough of Dex-junk and need to go to some other type of coolant. Any recommendations? Green ethylene glycol or Yellow propylene gl...

Well, you know what they say...

"When all else fails, read the instructions."

It finally occurred to me...I have an owners manual.

All has been revealed...In section 2.

Thank the Lord

For some reason, on some days, when I set the alarm, I get two honks...On other days, I get one honk. Seems, it has something to do with opening the trunk...But, no matter what combination of opening doors, and opening the trunk, I can't get it to do what I want it to...It does what it wants. How do...

I have another fun one.... ...So I am thinking that this could be an electical problem of some sort. The crazy thing is, is that the driver side switch is a double switch (also controls the passenger side) and when my window was 'stuck' down, the passenger side worked perfectly up and down from the...

Yep that is standard even with the LS-1's that is why we usually switch over to the 100% Aluminum Radiators used on the LT-1's.. You have a plastic tank on both sides of the radiator with an aluminum core in the middle.. I have had no direct experience in the boiling/flush thing.. Just replacing da...

So what do they suspect the inside of the radiator has build up and is slowing down the flow of coolant?? Apparently, the previous owner wasn't quite as diligent about maintaining the cooling system as could be expected. The "Tech" (translate: 1/2-speed auto mechanic) at the dealer, says ...

Recently, I had a little overheating problem...So, I took it to my local dealer for repairs. They suggested boiling out the radiator...Cost Approx.: $100. So, the question is, is it worth boiling it out, or just spending a few extra bucks, and getting an OEM replacement part? Then, the question beco...
