Ok, its a 1994 with a 3.4, Automatic, All power. 130,056 miles, Had a paint job in the last year or so, Interior is almost close to perfect other than a small tear on the drivers seat. New Tires, new transmission with less than 7k miles on it. No rust, dents, dings. Non smoker car, everything works. Now for the bad part. I know the guy who had it, he's only asking $1000 for the car. I told him I wanted it, he let us take it home and I'll pay him when I get my taxes back. The guy said the only problem with the car was it had an intake gasket leak. Well we got all the parts, and low and behold, after breaking down the motor, it's either the head gasket or the head. My question is, if it is the head, would the car still be worth sinking the money in it to fix it. The guy said I could always bring it back. But I really want this car. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

Where Did You Hear Of Camarosource.ca?: Roj told me. He is my hero. One day, im gonna grow up and be just like him, You'll see.
Ive seen a few of them come in with a cracked head. Its still not that bad of a job, and it sounds like the car is in pretty good shape. Should be worth the money still. But maybe you can haggle a little bit and see if you can get it a tad cheaper?

even if it is a head, i think 1000$ for the car is pretty good deal if its in as good shape as you say. but i agree, see if you talk to him down a little, since you will to sink some more money in to replace the head, if thats what it is.

Just a little bit of info for you since you may end up replacing a cylinder head...

You can run a 1996+ Pontiac 3.1 liter v-6
Cylinder heads and intake
they bolt up to the car perfectly no issues, Plus they are aluminum heads vs the Camaro 3.4 ironheads
And the intake and cylinder heads flow about 25% better and will produce more hp out of your 3.4 motor

All the local 3.4 guys do that swap here with proven dyno gains

That is some cool info. Awesome stuff! Nice to get some bonus performance, if it's the head that needs replacing. Armed with that plus the car sounds like it's in nice shape, it's a worthy buy.

PS; yeah, talk him dowwn a little more.

Thanks for the info. :) Well the guy whos fixing my car, looked at it today, he said that it was one of the bolts that hold the head down? He said it was broke off and that was what was causing the leak. :? I don't know tho. He said it wouldnt be hard to fix. I'm hoping to have it on the road by Wednesday *weather permitting* We'll see tho. Thanks guys!
