if you look at the pics of the old Camaro http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/plugins/iimage-gallery.php?idpost=2894&idg=1&idi=20 it doesnt look like a 79 to me

What do you mean? I'm not good at telling which 2nd gens are from what year but that looks like a late 2nd gen to me?? Is it the chrome bumper.

Yea I'm not good with second gens either. GM only made a few good looking 2nd gen camaros.
That big oil crisis killed muscle cars in the 70's.

The oil crisis was in the 80's. What killed the muscle car era was stupid emissions testing.

From the looks of it I believe it is a '75 to '77 camaro due to the wrap around window and the chrome bumper

Ok just found my Nov issue of hot rod and it says that it is a 1976 camaro
and that Saleen took a GTO and built a "fake" 2009 Camaro out of it.
