The website has been down since Friday and I have been unable to get ahold of my host provider. My login status does not work so I cannot access the website nor log into any of my account information. This morning I was able to FTP to my server and discovered on friday they made a backup of every single file on the server for some strange reason. However the backup files while the same filenames, contains different contents inside. As a result, the entire website is down and unworkable.

3 days later I am STILL trying to get ahold of them to see what is going on!

UPDATE: Turns out the website was HACKED and my host neither made a backup nor even notified us of this. We are now trying to see what files were hacked and IF I can restore them from an older backup. HOPEFULLY I will have some luck because I didn't edit (as far as I remember) any of the website files in over a year because I've been working countless hours on the NEW site which seems to not have been effected.

That's bad news, there's a lot going around these days. I hope you haven't lost anything unrecoverable.

Seems we now are back to where we were before without the loss of anything (that I can see).

The only drawback is that it has effected out ranking on search engines, especially google. We were ranked nearly 5th for Camaro on google and now we are shot down to the 2nd page because the site could not be indexed for nearly 3 days.

That should pick back up again once the google spiders start their rounds again!

Thats sucks Paul whatever happened to with you getting an external hard drive to keep your own back files??
