Pics on the new Camaro? Not sure about the front end, the lines look good, but how to the "hard core" Camaro members feel? would you buy one? Gary

I would buy one. I wouldn't mind seeing some changes to the front end appearance a bit. But overall I like it and think it looks good.

Well i dont like it as of right now, but i am sure it will get better.
Look at the 4th gen concept, that thing was so dam ugly. This is just a concept and now they have the ideas of the public comeing in, they will now start to change it to suit there camaro fans.

there are like 5-6 threads on this vehicle already, but the car is ugly, i'd buy a new challenger first!!

I personaly don't care for the new camaros looks especially the front end. If I were to buy one, I would buy it for the performace. LS2!! That car will have some nice power. I am also thinking that the camaros price tag will be around the corvettes. GM knows if they drop the price below the corvettes no one will want to buy a corvette and only the camaros. But camaros have always had a samller price tag than the corvette. But I guess we just have to wait.

The Camaro better be way less than a Corvette for 2 reasons . . .
- If it's the same, Chevy is shooting itself in the foot by having 2 performance cars competeing against each other. This would lower Camaro sales because they are so expensive, and lower Corvette sales because it has a direct rival from within it'd own department. Not good. Better to have both cars in thier own sales bracket and sell lots of both of them.
- Chevy has nothing to compete against the Mustang in that performance car price range. The Mustang is a great bang for the buck. Here's a perfect opportunity for Chevy to steel some of that market with an affordable car (just as they did in the past). If the car's to expensive, so much for that idea, and a lot of us will either just wish for one on the sidelines or buy a Mustang.

I guess there's always the Cobalt, but that car doesn't have the looks, history, legendary name, muscle car status, etc.

@ coolguycroc- Did you maybe mean the Challenger, cuz the Charger looks nothing like the new Camaro IMO? :dontknow:

It's kinda growing on me; not sure about buying the 1st yr. of something, but maybe this would be an exception??? I'll have to just wait & see what the final thing is going to look like and with what kind of price tag. Besides, I still have like 3 other f-bodys that I'm wanting to add to my current rides (2 Camaros & 1 Firebird). We'll see though... time shall tell.

Just got a note form a buddy who happened to be in LA this week on business and stayed over a day to go see the new Camaro (he's got a '99 SS). Long story short, when grilling the GM rep at the car, sounds like we'll see the car in '07. Sounds like the fallout from the St. Therese union situation left GM with an agreement "not to build Camaro at another plant for 5 years." So, you quit in '02, wait 5 years...........bingo, 40th Anniversary car in '07. GM rep was engaging and very positive. I've got fingers crossed.
As far as the Camaro looking like a Charger.........come on.
The Challenger is sweet, no doubt, but it ain't a Camaro.
I suppose someone can find something they n'dot like about anything, but friends, our baby is coming back for another iteration!
Personally, I can't wait.................... RS/SS or RS-Z/28 is in my future!!
