The return of Camaro to the Chevrolet site. :occasion5:

Wow, I don't know which I like better, the car or the website, and I love the new Camaro. As a web guy myself I'm very impressed.

I can`t see anything my firewall won`t let me see flash.

That's what my dad said. He said Cadillac tried it long ago, but it didn't work that well. I'm sure it's better now. Why would Chevy put it in the Corvette if it didn't?

New "Car & Driver" magazine says: "Camaro is on the fast track".

My guess is this:
1.) I believe the "07 Camaro" has been in the works for 10 years or so. "Chevy Skunk Works" is alive and well. Closing the plant at St. Therese, the 5-year "moratorium" on building Camaro as part of the settlement for the early plant closure, back-times us right into the 40th Anniversary.
2.) What we've seen is only the tip of the iceberg, your "basic" Camaro.
I believe much more is designed and ready to go.
3.) My speculation is that it will be built in Australia and utilize the delivery and supply chain already established by the GTO.
4.) Quiet since 2002, I believe much happened while we weren't invited to watch. I suspect a lot of it happened in Australia.
5.) I'm betting orders this summer and deliveries next spring.

Maybe I'm crazy..... maybe not!!

Thoughts????? :D

I myself believe that they possibly will have a camaro by 07'. I know when they discontinued the camaro, there was infact an article on them designing a 2007 model. After article, i hadn't seen any other information till the 09' release. Now, it could be that they changed their minds, or infact, that they have kept the 07' build under wraps to make a big return for the camaro. I know, the 07' model they had in mind, look tons better than the newly redesigned 09' model. But, as they say, to each his/her own. Believe what you see fit.
