I just caught the tail end of this car on Motoring 2003. It looked good, they were comparing to a Camaro.

I couldn't find the 5th gen chat on this site to compare pics though....sorry.

It had smoothe lines to it. Tail lights were circle like the early '70's. Had a solid, metal looking grill and tail light sections, with a bow-tie in the middle of each. Those were the only markings on the car.

Had big wheels and very low profile tires. Looked like it handle very well too.

I liked it, but couldn't find any pics on the Motoring 2003 website, nor could i find any write up about it at all...sorry again. I'll keep looking.

hey perry you said a 6cyl?? I think you seen it as a 6.0 instead of a 6cyl because it says it's a V8 with 430hp/430ft lbs

Yeah, I too found it too hard to beleive with that kind of HP and Torque.

It indeed says a 6.0-liter, V8 and not a V6

"Underneath the hood is the latest evolution of Chevy's race-proven small-block V-8. The car's longitudinal all-aluminum 6.0-liter V-8 engine pumps 430 horsepower and 430 lbs.-ft. of torque."

 You're right. Thanks for correcting and that makes me feel a whole lot better about the car too. I was at work and just did and quick glance down the page of the first link. didn't read, just looked for numbers, missed the V8. OOPS!!!!
Thanks guys.

There was some information on the SS in GM High Tech Performance magazine (June 2003) if anyone is interested. I think I'll keep my 87 though !
