I like it. I am going to do mine like that but with 3 or 3.5" pipe. I was thinking about using oval tubing but might be more of a hassle than it is worth. hit any speed bumps yet?

2.5" is good for my 400Hp engine, you will loose more clearance with 3 or even 3.5" but i guess it doesnt help when my car is lowered as well.

i hit a couple speed bumps felt like the exhaust was going to fall off, needless to say i won't be using that road again!

2.5 dual exhaust pipes will support 513hp with 0% loss as long as the inside of the muffler is the same diameter as the exhaust piping like when using bullet mufflers or straight through muffler ect...

That is based on that one super chevy article around here saying an engine needs 2.2cfm flow per Hp that the engine is making
Plus the 115cfm flow per square inch of pipe.

Even if Rough used Oval piping he would of only gained 3/4" more of ground clearance because the Oval piping equivalent would of been 1 3/4' x 2 13/16" and it probably wouldnt even of made a difference on a lowered car.

motor I am planning on doing now is going to end up around 750 hp and 620 ft/lbs (naturally aspirated) possibly using nitrous also no more than 100 shot though just because I know the bottom end will be able to handle it. so I will need at least 3" how did you lower yours Rough? I am planning on the eibach pro kit unless I can find some belletech's somewhere but might be doubtful as they haven't made them for a while now. I am definitely thinking out my chassis first though as my vert and all others weren't really made for anything close to these levels of power. I am going to try doing it and still be able to use the back seats for my kids. so I am not using the cross bar on the 8 point roll bar so I need to stiffin it on the bottom side instead. I will rarely have it at the track. just something to play with. If I can't sell the 406 I have now I am just going to rebuild it again and buy another Iroc. It is only the shortblock and needs to be torn apart again anyway because it has been sitting since last year and has surface rust on the head mounting pads and a little bit of surface rust in the cylinder walls.(needs a bottle brush run through them) so there isn't alot of people that want to mess with it even though I am selling it at half of what the parts cost.

i lowered mine with eibach sportline springs. my relocation brackets hang pretty low as well.

long tubes, x-tensions to clear transmission, h-pipe with piping, and 2 moroso mufflers, the total came to 304.05$US which is $335.27CAD.

i used Moroso Spiral Flow Racing Mufflers, they sound really nice. I'll get a snap shot of how long the exhaust hangs from a good distance today sometime.

I decided that I'm going to take this on as my spring project, so here's my plans and I hope you guys will give your opinions and advice.

I'm going to go with the Heddman Street headers and collectors, summit 2.5" pipes back to mufflers (2 flowmaster 40 series) and to the axle, over the axle and exiting in the rear with 2 flowmaster chrome tips with the 2.5" inlet and 3" outlet.
