I am trying to assemble my 71' rs split bumper and need to order weatherstripping and door moldings. I have 2 options though. 1 is with chrome bead(door molding) 1 is without chrome bead. From my research I have found that the standard type is the chrome bead type. ( used without door top chrome ). I have removed the door top chrome from my car, and would rather not have any chrome beading there if I don't need it. Does anyone know if the chrome bead is necessary or not? Unfortunately I didn't dissassemble this car so I have no reference of what it looks like or does.

It's a Drip Rail, there's no rain gutter on the roof.

Thanks for the response, but no, I'm talking about the glass horizontal window glass run weatherstrip. It's on the top edge of the door. The roof rail weatherstrip is a different piece.

I'm not sure about the piece you're talking about. Maybe try our friends at http://www.nastyz28.com/

They are a 2nd gen specific site.
