Why is it that all the Chain steering wheels are made by Grant and are only 11" big?
Does anyone make a bigger Chain steering wheel?

When I think Chain steering wheels, I immediately picture Lowrider Chevy Impalas.

One thing to think about is how would you get out of accident in a hurry with that steering wheel? There is no grip. If you had to swirve in a heck of a hurry you wouldn't easily be able to with a slippery piece of chain to holy onto.

Grab a piece of chain that size (5/8th ? ) and see how easily you can pull your hands apart when you grab them close together.

I would assume the reason they are all 11" is for two reasons:

1. That's the theme of the Chain Wheel.
2. The fact that LESS chain means it's stronger as there is less flex than a FULL steering wheel sized chain where you would need to add 2 or more chains which would mean greater surface area for flexing the plating.

Nah not the Van made out of Pot..
He had a Low rider car in the begining of the movie

Oh plus they used a chain steering wheel on the work van Cheech had in Cheech & Chongs The next Movie ..
The delivery van that they pulled over to the side of the road and they ran to the back and he switched the steering wheel over to a Chain one..
While Chong stuck a fake Clinch on Heart shaped window..
And hub caps

Man, do I feel old now. I had totally forgotten about those movies. The chain looked cool on the old low riders. It's your car do what you want. I personally would not mess up a perfectly good Maro with a chain wheel.

CHEECH AND CHONG PERFORM/PERFORM AGAIN (1978)
UP IN SMOKE (1978)
BEING THERE (1979)
NEXT MOVIE (1980)
NICE DREAMS (1981)
THINGS ARE TOUGH ALL OVER (1982)
YELLOWBEARD (1983)
STILL SMOKIN (1983)
CORSICAN BROTHERS (1984)
BORN IN EAST L.A. (1987) Just Cheech in it
FAR OUT MAN (1989) <-- Just Chong in it
GET OUT OF MY ROOM (1987)

I don't think it has anything to do with being old because I wasnt even in Preschool or Elementry school when those alot of those came out..

But I have an older brother who is 10 yrs older than me and my middle brother is 8 yrs older than me..
I just remember them being into those movies along with the Cheech and Chong album with the Album sleave size Rolling paper
Fun stuff

Those movies blow away the newer attempts at stoner movies like Halfbaked and Dude where is my car ect..
To me anyways

I was young when Up In Smoke came out also, but I remember watching it . Your right, the older comedy's were alot better than these new ones. The newer comedy's substitute stupidity for humor.
