You could get a cover to go over your factory unit. That's what I did. Just about all of your major parts stores can get you one that will fit. Some even over custom options where you can get "Camaro", or "Z/28", etc... stitched into the cover. Also, you pick the color you need, and it pretty well matches the stock interior. I know they come in a carpet style and maybe just a plain cloth. I've got the carpet style and it really looks good.

Yeah, you will come out a lot cheaper if you buy the cover. I'd say $40-$50 bucks tops, and you can cover the cracks up with no issue.

I know this post is old but does an 87 pad fit an 83? If so, I might have an OEM one.

I made a cover for it, cut out the holes for all the vent's and speaker's. Then tucked in the cover under the dash pad then bolted it back up. Good as new and look's great.

I stopped by a store here in my town and picked up a roll of replacement carpet. Rolled out the carpet for the overall length of my dash pad. Cut holes out for the vent's then tucked in the cover under the pad then screwed the pad back on. Made sure the cover was tightly tucked in, Cant really tell its a cover from a distance.

I bought a dash pad for mine on eBay for about $20 because the sun always cracked by dash's. Pain in the :butthead:
